Jaipur in October will be amazing as the weather will be good and besides you need 2-3 days to explore Jaipur. Rest you can plan trips to Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur etc. All these cities are in Rajasthan.

And if you are only interested to know more about Jaipur, then here is a list of popular tourist sites that you can visit in Jaipur. Amber Fort, Jal Mahal, Panna Meena Kund, Galta Monkey temple, Nahargarh & Jaigarh Fort, Sisodia Rani Bagh and Royal Gaitor. All these sites are in Amer side of Jaipur.

And then Jaipur has sites like City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Jawahar Circle, Pink city markets and Chokhi Dhani. All these are in main Jaipur city (old & new).

And along with these, you can check some local Jaipur handicrafts like the Block printing clothes like Sanganer print, or handmade print like Bagru Print, Chhipa textile print, etc. Jaipur is very famous for hand printing textile. But be aware of local tour guide scams as Jaipur is full of them. Just do a google search on Jaipur shopping scam and you will get enough information on this topic.

Book on India from Lonely Planet

Plus, a book of Lonely Planet in India, with an article on Jaipur will be helpful, here is the link of the book https://www.lonelyplanet.com/india/raja ... #guidebook I believe that the cost of this book is around $40-50. Plus you can check this taxi tour of Jaipur from Rajputana Cabs at http://rajputanacabs.in/jaipur-sightseeing-package/ which share details on how to plan a city tour of Jaipur, what will be the cost, along with the list of cities one can explore near Jaipur.

Hope I was able to assist,
